Daily Project Report
Weather:
Windy/sandstorm
Temperature: 90
Work Completed Today: Arrived at site at 5:00 for our scheduled 5:30 pour. Poured invert for tunnel #1. Concrete was 1 1/2 hours late and very slow. Poure 253 meters. Last truck arrived at 3:30. We finished hand trowling the floor in a wind/sandstorm at 7:00 p.m. Could not use trowel machine. The Hot wind and sand was drying the surface ahead of the bottom. Finish is okay. Better than the collection tunnel where we used the power trowel. Finished dowels in invert for Tunnel #3. Excavated more for new elevations on tunnel #2.
Engineer Directives Provided: Received detail for expansion joint from ES2.
Equipment delivered: Received air shipment of snap ties, hardware and long vibrator arrived today around 6:00 p.m.

We now have a Moroccan "roach coach" come by our site every day. This kid pushes his cart about 2 miles to get here at 6:30 in the morning.

We heard an explosion and looked behind us to see them blasting at the quarry on the hill behind the Jihadist school.

We couldn't use the troweling machine and we had to hand trowel the finish.
